Suggestions?

I wish these still existed. These were really popular before movies had sound because you could just sit in your car.

Hello all,

If anyone has any suggestions of movies to review, I would love to hear them.  And, no, it doesn’t have to have Shia in it…but it wouldn’t hurt. 🙂

Please, fill out the form below.

  1. I saw part of this movie called the passion of the christ. I was out of town at a hotel, yeah, I thought it was a porno. Jesus, as much as they beat that guy,it was almost a s and m film. I can take some stuff, but it was too much for me. WtF were they thinking. maybe You should watch this? For christs sake, is that stuff even legal? its like the 2 girls one cup thing with whips and stuff.

  2. You’re an absolute genius. I’d be really thankful if you did Speed Racer (2008).

  3. Review…..Mean Girls, Let The Right One In, Shaun Of The Dead, Shakespeare In Love, The Godfather…if you could. I would very much enjoy reading your take on any or all of these movies. Keep up the good work.

  4. LMAO @ the Valkyrie comment!!! Too funny.

I also have to agree with the aforementioned comments that you really need to educate yourself more when it comes to the world of Cinema. Additionally, the self aggrandizing “about me” section is a bit over the top.

  5. I love you Valerie! Your reviews are so inciteful! Please please please review Valkyrie, that’s the one where a top gunner time travels to a German country to assasinate a silent film star. Sounds kind of silly to me and I need to know if it’s worth spending my hard earned snow shoveling money on. I’m from New Jersey. Kirsten Dunst is from New Jersey, she’s spiderman’s gf.

  6. i think you need to seriously rethink this o_O
in your reviews you need to do MORE research because i dunno where your getting your info from, but its all wrong.
also, dont put spoilers in reviews. go check up the pros, they never put spoilers in.

  7. Yeah, I agree with the guy above me (Jim?) who says you should review some movies that aren’t so new. Maybe “2001: A Space Odyssey” or some other historical documentary so you can get some perspective of what our NASA astronauts went through in those days.

  8. I would suggest that maybe you stop reviewing movies. You might want to actually watch a movie or do a little research on it before you start to actually type. I don’t really see how any real movie fan would take the time to read your site since it’s filled with so much inaccurate details. Intellectual department i think not.

  9. Hi
I read your reveiw of Quantum of Solace. I can only assume you very young (18,19 maybe). A suggestion would be prior to screening a movie that you research the movie first .
That way you have the story behind it instead of making one up.
James bond MOVIE’S began in the 1960’s. Not a tv show.

Rather than point out all the thing’s that up James Bond I would suggest that you rent 4 to 7 or so of the movie’s and then you will have an idea of what is going on.
At least rent 1 of each period. 1960’s was Sean Connery as 007. The 1970’s was Roger Moore as 007. Then there was Timothy Dalton ,Roger Dalton’s brother of the Who,a 60’s rock band. (kidding)
    And Peirce Brosnan

  10. Typical So Cal blonde. Your heroes include “Poor people who win the lottery and can live the American dream”??? Here’s an idea, shut down the site because people are laughing at you. If you don’t believe me, google your name.

  11. Val,
Old classics: I think you should review “Babel”. I’d love to see what you make of that. Or you could review “Clueless”, but you must realize it’s NOT a documentary.

  12. I have three suggestions:

    1)get a clue.
    2)get over yourself
    3)don’t quit your day job

    😀

  13. Hi Val-
In your Iron Man DVD review the first pic you have listed is of the Silver Surfer from the Fantastic Four movie. Should make sure all your material is staged properly so more credible.
Other than that…like your stuff. Keep on writing and thinkin’.

  14. if you’re going to get into movie reviewing, may I suggest looking at some of the classics instead of just the newest Box Office releases? Just check out any ‘top 100 movies of all time’ list and you should get a few ideas. Reviewing older movies should challenge you more, give you more insight into the industry and give you a more varied portfolio if you’re ever going to approach publications to do this as a career.

You will need to research your movies a little though, like finding out who the director was, which studio made it and what other movies that studio has made that are similar. Try imdb.com for all the facts and figures you’ll ever need.

I wouldn’t listen to most of the nonsense people tend to write as comments on these blogs either, most of them can’t spell their own name and yet are quick to jump on others who are at least trying to write something intelligent. You’ve got to start somewhere.

Keep them coming and best of luck

  15. How about ‘Disturbia’? It’s got Shia in it, and would be a different sort of film for you to look at…
